The flows for the today class as follow:

Theme: Travel & Transport (2hr lesson)

Course Content for Lesson 1: 你好,Learn say “Hello”

-> Give a Name Tag for identity

-> Free Play Time

-> Good Morning Song introducing everyone

-> Craft Time

-> Free Play with Mega Block

-> Story Telling using puppet

-> Outdoor Play @ Indoor Playground

-> Brunch Time: Sausages, Corn cereal & Honey dew

-> Free Play with books (Reading)

-> Music and Movement

Honestly I don’t think I get the sequence of the class correctly. I am still coping with the changes too. I think due to the small class size we have, 4 toddlers. They have to arrange more free play with books and educational toys.  I was give the course content booklet when we were introducing ourselves when we first stepped into the class.

Since after our Batam Trip, Yvette doesn’t mind to be in the umbrella stroller. I carried this stroller out with her today.

I like the idea the child was given name tag and tag it on the board before the lesson starts. This gives the child an idea of who are they and they are no longer a baby but a toddler now.

Yvette woke up early (8 plus) today. When we were there at 11.30 am, Yvette showed sign of tiredness. But she managed to persevere. The teacher sang praises for her attitude.

Two crafts were done today. In playclub, they will do two crafts every lesson. Here are Yvette’s works.

Their story telling was different from the English lesson. Today the story told was about a need to be “friendly” and not be rude to others. It was illustrated by using 3 puppets, a mouse, a duck and a pig. Yvette didn’t pay much attention as she was pretty restless by then.

Free play was something Yvette look forward I guess. She suddenly became energetic when she was in the playground. Not much interaction among the kids. I guess they are still new to each other.

They need to wash up, eg toilet break and washing of hand before the Brunch. I was really worried Yvette will be hungry but glad to find out the Brunch was at 1 pm (This is the latest time when Yvette had her lunch. Normally she will have it around 12 to 12.30 noon.)

Another surprise I got when they having their brunch. The toddlers need to queue up for food and they will take their food to the desk and eat together with their peers. Unlike what we did in Playnest previously where the babies just sat down and the teacher will serve them. Another sign of “promotion”. They are toddler now, not baby anymore.

The class finally end at 1.30 pm after music and movement. Perhaps due to the class size, the music and movement was not a fun.

After class, I did not move out of Forum. It’s already 2 pm when I finally settled down with Yvette at Spinelli after getting a sandwich. (I can’t find a decent place in forum to feed Yvette. So I brought a sandwich so that we can eat there together.) Since Yvette is older now, I cook lesser porridge for her during lunch. I will try to make Bento too and here is our lunch for today.

After lunch we headed to the bus-stop. She already dozed off since then.

P/S: It’s was raining when we got off the bus. I have to carry Yvette, my bag, our lunch box, one stroller and one umbrella. Alamak! Why rain!!
