Month In Review – December & Goals For January 2011

Dec passed too quickly. Before I could actually take note of what’s happening, it’s already over. We did so much in Dec and yet I cover so little in this blog. (Yes I still blog everyday but I am still very lazy to pen down every single event! Not possible right?!?!?!)

1. What were the major event/s for the month?

  • Attended Christmas Party in Yvette school
  • Brought our very first Xmas Tree
  • Watch movie with Yvette again. (Yvette’s second movies)
  • Test out how well Yvette could adapt to new change(staying on for full day) in CC
  • Celebrated Christmas with extended family

2. What were the outings we had?

  • We went Jurong Bird Park.
  • We went hiking (From Southern Ridges Walk to Vivo City).
  • We check out Nex.

3. Anything new things we did or tried?

We had our dinner at Soup Broth Asia. This restaurant is the sister company of Soup Spoon and they served MSG free soup.

4. Any new learning curriculum for Yvette?

None! Holiday! Yeah!

5. What was the family health stats for the month?

Both of us are well. Yvette was very sick this month. 3 weeks of flu, running

6. What were my accomplishments this month?

Sadly None!

7. What surprised me this month?

Yvette’s ability to create! Her creativeness. And in term of understanding. Composing and Comprehending !

8. What were my disappointments this month?

This is not exactly a disappointment but I find it such a pity that we didn’t go Vivo for picture taking during this period. We been taking family photo with the Xmas Tree at Vivo since Yvette was born!

Plenty!

We made many many shopping trips during Dec and none were documented here. (I went Vivo alone and another shopping trip with D to Paragon!)

Month In Review – November & Goals For December 2010

1. What were the major event/s for the month?

  • Staycation at Marina Bay Sands Singapore
  • Celebrated my nephew’s birthday @ MBS
  • Have a very simple celebration for our 8th years Customary Wedding Anniversary
  • Celebrated Yvette’s half birthday with many toys!

2. What were the outings we had?

  • Went ECP for a ride.
  • Watch SSO Babies Proms 2010 with Yvette.
  • Went Ikea
  • Catch a glimpse of Barney at United Square but Yvette wasn’t keen.

  • Having meal at Kamado & Heaven’s Loft with my Ex-colleague.
  • Tried Pizza Pazza @ Anchorpoint Shopping Centre
  • Tried JuJu Hokkaido Hot Pot @ Paradiz Centre.

4. Any new learning curriculum for Yvette?

Back to swim with Marsden Swim School.

5. What was the family health stats for the month?

Yvette fall very very sick after the bite. (Still no idea she is bitten by what insect.) I will need to bring her back to clinic again tomorrow.

6. What were my accomplishments this month?

  • I am finally reading. I brought Are You Afraid of The Dark at the Thomson Book stall long ago and couldn’t get myself to read. And I finally pick up 好妈妈胜过好老师 to read. Many thoughts after reading this book. Will share on this site soon.

Everyday Nov 2010

  • Exercise. Finally hit gym!

7. What surprised me this month?

Yvette could blow off 5 candles after we finished singing the birthday song. She really took us by surprise. Her reaction was so swift and unexpected.

8. What were my disappointments this month?

Even the Canon camera was sent back to repair it is still faulty. I have no time to send back to repair now.

9. Any other events happened but I did not record here?

  • A outing with Yvette on 26th Nov. We wandered around Orchard and then went to United Square.

13. Any goals for December?

  • Lose weight. I really gain a lot of weight for the past 6 mths after World Cup. It is time to lose some weight and get ready for my sister’s wedding.
  • I wonder getting a job consider my short term goal or long term goal now?

Month In Review – October & Goals For November 2010

1. What were the major event/s for the month?

  • FIL admitted to hospital for 3 weeks in October.
  • We attended Zac’s 3rd birthday party.
  • We attended a wonderful event for children from the Children’s Cancer Foundation – The Happee Day
  • We went JB with our extended Family.

2. What were the outings we had?

  • We went SSC for outdoor water play.
  • We went to see the 73 yo Mast Ship from Portugal.

3. Anything new things we did or tried?

I can’t recall we tried anything new. Perhaps eating at Black Canyon in JB consider something new to us.

4. Any new learning curriculum for Yvette?

  • We started our learning on More About Starfall.
  • I started doing English Reading Programme with Yvette.
  • Yvette had 4 play dates in this month.

5. What was the family health stats for the month?

Yvette was unwell. On and off I was having headache.

6. What were my accomplishments this month?

I sewed some home learning kit for Yvette which is not planned for.

7. What surprised me this month?

  • Yvette had already mastered multiplication of 5 with some help of Starfall and by herself.
  • Yvette’s speech & ability to understand had reached another level.

8. What were my disappointments this month?

I couldn’t get a part time job. Seriously it is even harder to get part time job during good times as everyone is willing to pay for one full headcount. I even have agency calling me to work full time instead. This is very discouraging.

9. Any other events happened but I did not record here?

We made 3 trips to IKEA on 1st, 2nd & 17th Oct.

Month In Review – September & Goals For October 2010

1. What were the major event/s for the month?

  • Too many Birthday but not many celebration as expected. – Celebrated D Birthday on 3rd; a birthday outing @ zoo on 7th & Velda on 30th Sept.
  • FIL admitted to hospital
  • Yvette attending Preschool without me.
  • Celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival
  • Yvette celebrated her first Children Day in preschool without me.

2. What were the outings we had?

  • Head ACM for our first outdoor movie.
  • We went Zoo.
  • We spent our day at Marina Bay Sand & Marina Barrage.
  • We had an evening walk at MacRitchie Reservoir.
  • We went shopping at Bugis.
  • We went shopping at Tangs.
  • I visited a new toy store myself.

3. Anything new things we did or tried?

  • Head ACM for our first outdoor movie.
  • We spent our day at Marina Bay Sand.
  • We tried the dessert store @ Vivo City for the first time.

4. Any new learning curriculum for Yvette?

We started doing new learning topics at home but yet to draw out a full weekly plan. Will share once we are done.

5. What was the family health stats for the month?

I was down with fever due to food poisoning and the followed by headache. D & Yvette are ok. But FIL admitted to hospital for eye operation.

6. What were my accomplishments this month?

I think we fair quite well to the change – Yvette attending preschool by her own.

I have a mock up lesson plan for Yvette and everything should come in nicely by next week. (1st week of Oct.)

7. What surprised me this month?

  • Yvette’s adaptability to new environment, new care giver. She only cried when we need to say goodbye at Day 8 and she settled nicely by her own till I pick her up.
  • I bumped into Lazymummy @ Vivo and then found out she was actually my ex-classmate! What a small world!!!

8. What were my disappointments this month?

I would not say this was my disappointment but we have a very difficult week. (19th to 25th Sept.)

9. Any other events happened but I did not record here?

  • We headed Sembawang Shopping Centre for dinner but we didn’t let Yvette go to the splash park due to cold weather.
  • We set up aquarium again and the fish survived.

  • I set as a goal last month and I manage to draw up a plan for her. Hopefully I can get it finalised next week.
  • Hit gym. I was really preoccupied with many stuffs. I hope I can push myself to go.
  • Get a part time job!
