Baking More About Baking

After my failure in making the cookies last Friday, I decided to try making some cupcakes. I went to Phoon Huat at NTUC to get those ingredients and even went library to borrow books for reference.

I didn’t try the fondant. I only baked the cupcake. I have to get my cupcake right before I level myself up. Unfortunately, the outcome of my cupcake look like scones but luckily it didn’t taste like one.

Lemon Yoghurt Cake ( cupcakes if you put it to individual portion )
from Ina Garten ( Barefoot Contesa )

    Ingredients
    1 1/2 cup flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt

    3 eggs
    1 cup of sugar ( i use less )
2 tsp of lemon zest ( i mix in orange too )
    1/2 tsp of vanilla essense
    1/2 cup of veg oil

    1) Sift flour, baking powder & salt to 1 bowl ( Dry )
2)Pour Yoghurt to bowl , mix in sugar , eggs, vanilla extract & zest
    3) Whisk and combine ( might be a lil curdy )
    4) Add dry bowl till corporated ( Do not over mix )
    5) Add veg oil & stir till combine )
    6) Bake in oven with 180degree for 20 – 30 mins ( that is for cake , cupcake is lesser means ard 15 – 20 mins .. check )
