Today, I made a “special” trip to AMK Hub to buy a Round Table from NTUC Extra.
What so special about this round table?
This table was one of the “materials” used during Our First Family Shoot @ The MKJ Photography, and I like it so much. It is foldable,” moveable” and light. Most important it was selling at a discount price of S$14.90. But I only gotten one for myself as hubby doesn’t see the “conveniences” of this table could provide him.
I asked Wendy along too. (She is a SAHM with a 17 mths ger. And she stays near to AMK.)
We had dinner at the food court located at 3rd floor before “hunting” the table in the supermarket located at Basement 2. I love to see her daughter enjoying her food. She can feed herself very well at 17 mths. Even an auntie next to our table came forward to praise how good she is.
Wendy prepared a soup, egg and soft rice for Ashlyn. As Yvette loves soup too, naturally I will pay attention to the ingredients she used in the soup. I saw Tofu, Tomato, Long Bean and Mushroom when Wendy scooped them out to feed Ashlyn. I asked Wendy which type of mushroom she is feeding her child.
It‘s Shiitake Mushroom, she replied.
As a mushroom lover, I been thinking of introducing mushroom to Yvette but wasn’t very sure what type of mushroom to start with.
Mushrooms are good sources of three essential B-vitamins: riboflavin, niacin and pantothenic acid. Mushrooms are a particularly rich source of riboflavin: one portabella mushroom takes care of nearly one-third our RDA; a serving of white or crimini mushrooms supplies one-quarter of what we need daily.
Mushrooms are an under-recognized source of potassium, an element that helps regulate blood pressure, helps keep the right balance of water in fat and muscle tissues, and helps ensure the proper functioning of cells. A 3-ounce portabella mushroom cap provides more potassium than a banana or an orange.
And Wendy passed me tip on how to select Shiitake mushroom too.
