BBQ out Yvette’s 2nd Birthday @ Costa Sands Resort

Did anyone of you find fishy why we were in Paris Pasir Ris for two consecutive days? We don’t live in the east.

Oh well, we actually check into Costa Sand Resort to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday with all our family members.

This year, we decided to keep this as family affairs, Stella’s family is our only friend we have invited this time. And we were very fortunate to have our niece, Cheryl to book this chalet for us at a very special rate.

Although we gotten a good deal for the chalet, we were not short-changed. We were given 2 pairs of compliment ticket to visit Escape Theme Park, Wild Wild Wet, Explorer Kid and E!hub. And so, we visited Explorer Kid and Wild Wild Wet with Yvette. And these two places brought us so much fun and laughter!

I like the resort too. It’s not too small and it comes with 4 beds and 1 fridge. Towels are provided too.

Chalet

With a tired body, after putting Yvette to nap, we started to decorate the chalet with our Art work.

This year, I do away with 3D cake and order a simple cake for Yvette from Bengawan Solo and everyone like the cake. Phew!

Yvette likes Bunny and as well as Minnie-Mouse. There were some struggle when I need to decide which design to choose and finally settled with Bunny and Yvette love it a lot. Sadly, we left the candle we brought for this celebration for Yvette back at home. :(

As for the food, I placed my order with Ezy~BBQ made easy. Here our order list.

Most of the food I ordered was nice but the Mackerel Otah was really awful. The curry chicken with Bee Hoon was really awesome!

My Brother and my sister’s boyfriend help to set up the fire while everyone busy eating.

Around 7, our only guest finally arrived!

Off we went into the room for cake cutting ceremony.

Yvette was rather confused and wasn’t very sure what’s happening. The only picture Yvette was with the cake was unclear too. I wonder did my niece took a better picture then.

But luckily, the family picture turned out well. It’s really not easy to capture down these precious memories with an active toddler.

We have an enjoyable night and we actually didn’t stay for another night because there were really too many things to bring back home. As such, with the help of my SIL’s family and my brother’s family, we packed and left the chalet at around 11 pm.

Lastly, not forgetting the blessing we received from our relatives and friends!

Wet Wet Wet @ Wild Wild Wet

It’s about a year when we last visited Wild Wild Wet. Yvette was still a little baby and she has grown much over a year. She can’t even can walk a year back!

We were there at about 11 am after our breakfast at MacDonald and this place look vacant!

Yvette refused to wear her swimwear which was wet and only wanted to put on the bottom with her Tee. Well, I think it’s good enough. To avoid burnout under the sun, we applied the sun block lotion as stay there the next one or two hours.

It’s easy to get Yvette down the water but not easy to encourage her to “Professional Playground” with slides and swings. I managed to bring her up twice and slide down the “Yellow slides” and the “Pink and Blue slides”. There were some apprehension within.

08 apr 103

Although she didn’t like the playground, she did have fun just playing with water!

under the sun

She loves the sun so much and she didn’t mind to submerge her own body into the water and enjoy the sun. I took some pictures of her having sun tan while I was a distance away hiding under the umbrella.

This time, since we were there early and not much people around, D and myself took turn play with the rides and attraction in the park. We tried Ular-Lah and The Waterworks which consist of a open and an enclosed body slides (tunnel). The ride and the slide were nothing new to us. We been to Wet n Wild at Gold Coast and we love it!

However, there were still 10 seconds of suspension for D as he slide down the tunnel slide at Waterworks. He claimed the total darkness made him think of his last word to us…

Hmmmm….

As for me, since he already letting me know what to expect, I am less afraid and took those rides as a pinch of salt!

Yvette liked the idea being seated on the tube and float on the Shiok River. She didn’t mind to let her leg down and let the water trickled down her little feet!

Surprisingly, D actually like sensation of the mega water splash from the enormous bucket.

IMG_2247

We didn’t complete every single rides and visit every single attraction of the wet park as the sun beam was hitting us badly and we started to find it unbearable to stay under the sun. We also find the floor beside the pool was really too hot and jagged to even for us to step on it.

What an afternoon of water and sun, we are now 3 shades tanner and very tired… But we have another important task to conquer!
