As mentioned, this week is Daddy’s week. But it seemed most daddies were not available. Today only one daddy attended the class.
And the flow for the today class as follow:
-> Puppet Time: Sydney Snail (weird name)
-> Good Morning Song
-> Messy Activity: Potato Printing (Paper, Potato, sponge, Pink paint)
-> Snack Time: Banana (All food serve in JG are mostly organic.)
-> Outdoor Play @ Indoor Playground
-> Music and Movement
After assisting Yvette for so many lessons on craft, I was surprise Yvette took initiative to do the painting all by herself today. Perhaps she likes the pink paint?
The kids were allowed to play water during the outdoor play. Yvette lost interest in playing them after 5 mins. Maybe she could get the chance to play this at home. She moved on to slide instead.
Usually after music and movement, I will let Yvette wander around in the room. Yvette will normally moves toward the organ. So far I didn’t see her slamming on it, hitting the keys anyhow. But she loves to press the button on the keyboard. I am aware Yvette love music and movement a lot too. She always shakes her body whenever she hears the music in the background. (She responds to all type of music; even they are Hokkien song, India song, Malay song, etc.) And I received compliment from Teacher Winnie that Yvette was the role model for the “Music and Movement” today. Yvette could do all the hand signs for all the songs sang and she was doing it thru out the session.
We do have plan to let Yvette learn piano when she is much older but someone advise me to let her play with violin first instead.
Let me see how it goes.

hehe – my boy won’t ever let me put the plastic bib/apron/top(provided by school) on him when it gets to painting time. He will cry until I take it off!
Sam,
The apron is ours. Yvette doesn’t allow me to put that on for her too. But I keep trying every now and then. The last two session she finally allowed me to put that on for her.
*Phew*
No more changing of clothes for simple craft.
