Vaccination checklist?

I decide to give PRIORIX-TETRA from GlaxoSmithKline, a combined Jab for Chicken Pox & MMR a miss after I did a check in IDO forum and head polyclinic for a separate jab for Chicken Pox today.

(Priorix-Tetra will be given to our child on 15mths and 18mths. It will skip one injection which is required when they are 6 years old. (Second dose of MMR, a booster) (According to my GP))

Nurse: You are here for?

SF: Chicken Pox injection

Nurse: Sorry I can’t jab her.

SF: Why?

Nurse: That is because your child had last jab, Pneumococcal 3 weeks ago. We can only jab the two separate vaccinations for you on the same day or 1 month after. It is because we might afraid the two injections will crash each other or the first injection might not have set in the immunity for your child.

SF: I see but I never know it can’t be done. Never mind we can fix another appointment again.

Nurse: Yes, some clinics do jab within month but not here.

SF: Thanks for telling me this. Anyway can I weight my child and take her height.

Nurse: Sure

Yvette measures 75cm in height, 8.3kg in weight. She had grown 1.5cm taller but instead of putting on weight, she lost weight. (She weighted 9kg (est.) when she turned one.) And fortunately she still in the 50 percentile range.

It was not a waste trip after all; Papa got to buy his stuff in the pharmacy. And I had my prawn noodle in Lor 7 market.

Being more certain over what the nurse had told me, I did a Google check and found out this:

The Vaccination Checklist by KKH did not spell it can’t be done. Oh well, sometimes it is better be safe than sorry. Anyway, FIL was so happy Yvette was not given an injection at all. He is always heartache for Yvette when she is due for a vaccination. With this, it had left me another 2 weeks to ponder over this injection all over again!

I finally found an apron for Yvette. She needs that for her class in JGC as they do not provide apron for craft like GUG. I been searching high and low for this apron as I want something with sleeve. But it’s kind of oversize for Yvette for now.

We had gotten a knee cap for Yvette too. From time to time, I am aware Yvette will like to be on the ground, however due to the fact she’s still cruising, I can’t let her crawl in the public as much as I want. However for some place like playground, I think it is ok for her to crawl but I need to take care of her knee because of the rough surface. Thus decides to get her this as a protection for her.
