Hmmm I went out today… Not supposed to… BUT I need to get my ger ger Chinese name done so we went out -.-!
We boarded this cab in the afternoon. The journey on the road was safe although I think the speed he is driving still a bit fast for baby. (I felt guilty.) This incident happened after a van cut the right way of this taxi driver’s road.
SF: Uncle don’t drive too fast, got baby.
Taxi Uncle: He drove like tat, u still want to say me driving fast!!!(He replied very angrily)
SF: Uncle I just felt u are driving very fast to catch up with tat van, I merely asking u to drive slowly cos got baby.
Taxi Uncle: siao (in a very low tone) (He wanted to scold me but he din dare to do it so openly – not loud enuff if I got hearing problem -.-)
The taxi uncle continued to protest his unhappiness toward my remarks over his driving speed.
SF: uncle, I only asked u not to drive so fast, u doesn’t need to scold me siao.
He paused.
Taxi Uncle: Hey, I saw u got baby that why I turned over to pick up you. I am actually heading home as I only live opposite of your block. (Is he trying to tell me how kind he was to me?)
I paused. Thinking what should I reply? In my heart, I was thinking, is you who decided to pick me up, I never asked you to.
Confinement Auntie: Thanks deh.
I am glad we are fine. I am glad I din reply. I am glad my confinement auntie rebutted him in tat way.
He kept very quiet after that.
